What’s YWAM?

YWAM stands for Youth With A Mission. It’s a global and interdenominational movement of Christ-followers who all have a common goal: to know God and make Him known. We do this through three main things: evangelism, training, and mercy ministry.

I am currently one year into my two-year staff commitment at the YWAM base in Madison, Wisconsin. Here, we are passionate about community development, discipleship, welcoming international University students, and social/justice issues such as modern day slavery, human trafficking, poverty, AIDS, refugees, fatherlessness, and children at risk.

One part of YWAM Madison’s ministry is the Discipleship Training School (DTS). DTS is a several-month program that includes a lecture phase (learning about relationship with God and about his heart), and a global outreach (proclaiming God’s love in action and word on a global scale). This is the school that I am staffing this fall.
